With Monster of Dolls and NipPop, Bologna is confirmed as the european capital of the friendship between Italy and Japan

Monster of Dolls is the first italian event dedicated to the world of japanese idols and it aims to european primacy in its kind; the NipPop Cultural Association, born in 2013 and located in Bologna, holds the objective of promoting japanese culture in Italy through a series of events, workshops, expositions and performance that involve artists and experts of international fame. At the same time, through their own web page, NipPop turns to japanese culture – including cinema, literature and art in its widest meaning – connoiseurs and enthusiasts, sharing news and food for thought in various fields, with the intention of opening up new perspectives on contemporary Japan’s pop tendencies.

The collaboration between these two realities came to be in order to promote two important events that will take place on Bologna during the month of May, and they set themselves the ambitious goal of trasforming the chief town of Emilia-Romagna in a real and proper little piece of Japan.

Now in its new edition, Monster of Dolls 2020 is making its way through european events about japanese idols: this year as many as six groups will arrive from the Land of the Rising Sun to storm the stage of Bologna’s Estragon Club on May 9th. Preparations for the tenth anniversary of NipPop are still in full swing: the dates, title and guests of the 2020 edition will shortly be announced through the Association’s channels.

Thanks to the collaboration between Monster of Dolls and NipPop, the partners of the NipPop Cultural Association will be able to enjoy a considerable discount when purchasing tickets for Monster of Dolls 2020, the biggest european idol festival that will take place on the 9th of May at Bologna’s Estragon Club.

The rate dedicated to NipPop associates grants them a 35% discount on standard ticket purchases to access the festival, divided in two shows, ideal to enjoy the alternative idol groups’ energy and music at full blast as they perform on stage in Bologna.
